KAPUT

Altered States

KAPUT is a Chicago based Post Punk/No Wave project formed by Nadia Garofalo (Heavy Feelings, formerly of Ganser), producer and engineer Brian Fox (Electrical Audio), and M. Sord (Jon Spencer and the Hitmakers).

Heavily influenced by iconic artists like Kim Gordon, Brainiac, and This Heat, KAPUT explode out of the gate on their first full length outing, aptly titled One. Experimental and bold, they challenge and push the boundaries of modern music.

Their new album is the culmination of over a year of collaborative writing examining anger in all of its forms including a bit of humor. From the quiet introspection of “Teal” to the addictive frenzy of “Sucker”, KAPUT dissects and disrupts, caresses and punishes.

“I think we live in a world that (especially if you’re feminine) tells you to hide or ignore your anger, I wanted to explore its facets, it’s not always negative, sometimes it can show you things, it can teach you so much if you listen.” – Nadia Garofalo

“Together, Fox and Garofalo dismantle the rules, building something thrilling in its place, unbound and unapologetic.” – Post-Punk
