Mollusk Big Sur Jamboree

Iconic surf emporium, Mollusk Surf Shop has partnered with specialty musical events creator, (((folkYEAH!))) to stage the MOLLUSK BIG SUR JAMBOREE on September 27 to 28th. Two days of music, camping and ensuing fun, set amongst the redwoods on the banks of Big Sur River at Fernwood Resort.

Mollusk has collaborated closely with (((folkYEAH!))) to arrange a myriad of musical acts performing across two stages, many of whom are friends and affiliates of Mollusk and staples of (((folkYEAH!))) events. Vetiver, Beachwood Sparks, McCombs Skiffle Players (a once in a lifetime Cass McCombs super group), Allah-Las, Sonny and the Sunsets, The Autumn Defense, Little Wings, Neal Casal, Chris Cohen, F.D and the Wizards of the West All Stars, Range of Light Wilderness, The Mattson 2, Sandy’s, The Tyde, Tomorrows Tulips, Simone Rubi, Birds of America, Gnagoriaceht, Honeycrisp plus special guests and secret late night jam sessions!”

Alongside the music, San Francisco-based artists, Nat Russell is curating artwork for the event and Jay Nelson will be creating site-specific installations. Classic and contemporary surfing films will be screened during intervals and an array of Mollusk surfboards on hand to ride — for anyone — at any one of Big Sur’s beautiful surfing beaches near the festival site. Exclusive Mollusk event merchandise will also be available to purchase onsite.

Though there will be food and drink on site, Jamboree attendees are encouraged to bring their own. Been saving a vintage bottle of chardonnay from the famed Marcassin Estate in Sonoma… there couldn’t be a better time to uncork it than when Beachwood Sparks hits the stage deep in the woods. Lastly, Farmer Dave has been deemed the Jamboree’s “Cultural Vibesman” and will be on hand to ensure all attendees will have a wonderful time. Think of the Jamboree less as a music festival and more as summer camp for adults!
