Acid Dad

Monday 2AM.  Don Pedro’s drag show in Brooklyn. This is where Vaughn Hunt (lead vocals and guitar) and Kevin Walker (drums) met Danny Gomez (vocals and guitar).  All evening they rambled on about their deep love for rock and roll, driven to form a band which modernized ’60s psychedelia and ’70s punk. Cassidy George, a street artist who embodies the punk rock ethos, fit right into the picture when they handed her a tambourine and instructed her to go insane on stage. The smooth talking Julian Anderson wound up on bass after attending one of Kevin and Vaughn’s infamous parties and refusing to go home.  After many name and lineup changes Acid Dad solidified into one of the defining Brooklyn rock and roll bands.  Their raucous shows (often house parties which last until the cops show up) seem to always drive the crowd into a state of pandemonium.  At the start of 2015 they wrote and recorded a handful of songs in their studio which are sure to capture Brooklyn’s attention.
