As a producer for PolyGram in the early 1970s, he made Azymuth his go-to session band, effectively lighting the torch for the pivotal jazz-funk trio’s prolific career. Hyldon’s hands are all over the building blocks of the careers of these artists, who are revered as true prestige Brazilian acts by record collectors and tastemakers far and wide."
